Where is your showroom in India?

Currently, we have two, showrooms, one at Mumbai and other at Patiala. At Mumbai, we have 1500 sq feet of display setup at 23G, Laxmi Industrial Estate, Near Lokhandwala circle, Andheri West. At Patiala, we have 10000 sq feet of display setup with integrated production facility of 40000 sq feet. You are welcome to visit us anytime. Apart from product pricing listed on your website, what is shipping cost to import furniture from India?

Import costing is largely dependent on the shipping rates, which fluctuates every fortnight depending on the month of import. Typically, they are highest during Oct-Nov period as it’s a festive season in Europe, and shipping vessels are in demand. The following table can give you a tentative idea of an average cost of importing furniture to the major shipping destinations. The rates mentioned in INR are upto destination ports only.

  • Sea container size mentioned in above table is an external size in feet. Internal size available may be marginally lower than mentioned.
  • For single items required to be imported from India, we have mentioned approx Cubic Meter size of the said items for your reference. It may vary as per the design selected by you.
  • Pricing mentioned above is an approximate pricing, it may vary as per the current shipping rates applicable at the time of shipping
  • Customer must nominate their import agent at the importing port for smooth clearance of imported items, after paying local customs duty and other relevant charges as applicable
  • Above mentioned rates included GST 18%.
  • All destination charges are on consignee account.

What all documentation is required to import furniture from India to my country?

  1. There is a specific packaging requirement by all countries for an import shipment to enter their country. For Ex- Australia and New Zealand wants all furniture items to be packaged in wooden or plywood pallets, so that they can take them out for a random inspection. We understand these country specific packaging requirements quite well. Our export packaging is compliant to meet specific packaging norms as per country of import.
  2. All importing countries have defined their specific set of documentation, which exporter must provide to enable an entry of container in the country. Among other documents, there are set of documents like ISMP-15, Phytosanitary certificate, Certificate of Origin, Declarations, Fumigation certificate etc which are mandated by few countries. Our products are made to meet these specific norms, and we will arrange to get the country specific documentation done.
  3. We will arrange to get all the necessary accurate shipping documentation like Shipping Bill, Bill of Lading etc done for speedy movement of container to the destination port.
  4. You will need to appoint local import agent / Clearing and Forwarding agent in your country of import to get your container / shipment cleared from the port, after paying country import duty and other clearing charges. We will require your import agent details before vessel departure from India, as these details needs to be mentioned in the Bill of Lading. In case you don’t have an import agent, we can nominate one on your behalf and your can coordinate with him/her.

Overall, the entire process of importing container to your country is a very smooth and hassle-free process. And we ensure that your furniture import experience with us remains fabulous.

It’s all very confusing, please tell me door-to-door cost for import to my country including everything.

You will appreciate that it’s not possible for us to be able to tell you an exact door-to-door pricing for all the cities. However, the following table will give you tentative estimate of what is going to be the total door-to-door shipping cost.

Destination Charges are subject to customs duty / VAT and other charges of importing country at the time of clearance. Above mentioned pricing is made as per the current rates in Oct 2023

What payment mechanisms are available like L/C, Account transfer, Cash transfer, Wallet payment, Crypto currency, Paypal, Credit card, Debit card and Netbanking?

For export shipment, we will accept payment only via bank transfer (netbanking) to our bank account. It has to be made from buyer’s own account or NRE account (for NRIs). All the export documentation will be made on the name from which we have received the payment. Your Export invoice will be made for the amount transferred to our account minus shipping cost.

Please note that amount mentioned on your purchase invoice will be considered for levying import duty and GST/VAT in your country.

Is it possible to make payment in India for export to be done to my country?

If you are making a payment in India in INR, it will be considered at domestic sales and will be subject to GST. We will provide our domestic invoice for the same. If required, we will arrange all export documentation and have it exported to your country as your personal purchase, where you will act as both shipment sender and receiver.

However, there is a time limit of 6 months between purchase in India and shipment to be done. And buyer must have returned to importing country before shipment is done.

I am a business person and interested in collaborating with you for doing this business in my country. Are you open for such arrangement?

We are quite open to explore such collaboration, provided you have business credentials for do the same in your country.

I need furniture for my Bangalore flat. If I make payment from my UK account to your bank account, can I get exemption for 18% GST to be paid in India under deemed exports?

Regret it can’t be considered as deemed exports. All furniture shipments originating in India and getting delivered anywhere in Indiawill be subject to GST on an invoice value.

I have a Bungalow at Kolkata. Can you arrange a visit to get dimensions take and finalize the order?

If it is a flat / villa you are looking to get fully / partially furnished, we can definitely send someone from our side to go and take the measurements on-site.

To enable us to do that, you will have to do an upfront payment of return airfare ex-Chandigarh or ex-Mumbai (for > 250 km travel), local lodging and boarding (if required) amount for one individual for one day.

Which wood is used to make furniture?

We use only M.P/Nagpur government auctioned Grade 1 Teak wood (Sagwaan) for manufacturing our furniture along with waterproof termite resistant Plywood. Plywood is also sourced from renowned companies like Greenply & Century.

Will we get exact quality and finish as shown on your website? Where can we see these items first-hand?

We strive to get exact Quality and finish as is displayed in our website. However, you must understand these are hand-crafted products, and that wood grains differ from tree to tree. As a result, there may be a possibility of slight variation in finish of particular products. Generally, you can expect 85-90% match when it comes to finish and quality. You are welcome to visit us at any of our facility to experience the quality and finish.

  1. How much does it cost for 20 feet container to be shipped to different countries?

 

Shipping cost to every country is different, and dependent on distance, port, month of movement and other numerous variable factors. In addition to that, there are specific set of documents required by importing country which effects the overall cost. Common document are Fumigation certificate, Phytosanitary certificate, Certificate of Origin of goods and ISPM15 certificate. We will arrange for all these certifications for you. 

Overall total shipping cost will vary between Rs 2 Lacs for 20 feet container to Australia, to Rs 5 Lacs for Canada, for port delivery of you choice in importing country. In addition, there is export packaging cost of Rs 80000 to be paid to meet speicific packaging requirements of importing country. Besides, that you will be local custome clearance charges to get your consignment cleared at your importing country. 

 3. What is wood used for manufacturing Furniture shown in your website?

  1. How do we know wood used is Teak wood or not anything else?

We encourage you to get our furniture checked from your trusted expert for the same. If someone can prove us wrong, you can claim full refund of what you paid to us.

 

  1. Is your bed fully made of Teakwood, what about other furniture items like Wardrobe, Chairs, Sofa, Table etc made by you?

We face this query quite often. Here is explanation that how this works in our case

 

Beds

Bed Storage boxes or Mattress bases are made of Plywood. Bedsides may be made of Teakwood. Headboard & Footboard are fully made of Teakwood.

Sidetables

Sidetable frame is generally made of teakwood and teak veneer. Drawers and other parts are made of plywood. Top is done in teakply.

 

Sofasets, Chairs

Made entirely of Teakwood.

 

Tables, Dining Tables, Consoles

Made entirely of Teakwood except Table top, which is done in teakply.

Cabinet, Wardrobe

Frame made of Teakwood. Other parts made of plywood, finished with teak veneer. Door frames made of teakwood with carvings, if any done in teak wood.

 

 

  1. What if we want furniture fully made of Teakwood?

It can be done with limitations of finish, that too at exorbitant pricing.

For ex- if you are looking for bed boxes made in teak, one should be able to source at least 7 X 3.5 feet of multiple planks cut through the teakwood tree truck. Any one versed with timber industry will know how difficult and expensive this is to come by.

Other option is to use small multiple planks to make up for length and width, this will make structure inherently weak, along with the fact that the quality finish will never be achieved in this case.

 

  1. Will we get an exact Quality and finish as shown in your website? Can we see your products to understand their quality and finish?

We strive to get exact Quality and finish as is displayed in our website. However, you must understand these are hand-crafted products, and that wood grains differ from tree to tree. As a result, there may be a possibility of slight variation in finish of particular products. Generally, you can expect 90% match when it comes to finish and quality.

 

  1. I wish to purchase Sofa0262 from your website. Can you send it to Swindon in UK, Zip code- SN5XXX. How much additional cost I need to pay?

We receive multiple enquiries for purchase of single or multiple products from other countries. However, we advise our customers not to order these items from us, as the landed price for these single items in your countries will be exorbitant. We always recommend our customers to order for full or at least half container to justify transit cost.

 

  1. Please tell me about the Import duty, Sales tax, handling fees etc levied on furniture, if I choose to import furniture from India to my country?

We will take care of all the necessary export documentation in India and upto destination port delivery at commercial port of your choice. Besides, that you will have to hire local freight forwarder who can advise you on import duty, local GST, clearance and inland transit charges in country of your residence. Our export team will coordinate with your nominated export agent to ensure smooth movement and clearance of your order.  If you still insist on getting us door-to-door delivery, we may take that up on case to case basis.

  

  1. Do you accept payment through Paypal? What other payment mechanisms do you have?

Regret we do not accept payment through Paypal. For export purchase, we will accept payment via Bank transfer to our bank account. However, to claim exemption from Indian GST on your shipment, you will require to transfer purchase amount from your local account in that country or your NRI account. Please note that amount mentioned on your purchase invoice will be considered for levying import duty and GST in your country.

 

  1. I have flat in Bangalore? Will it be possible for someone from your side to go and take measurements?

If it is a flat / villa you are looking to get fully / partially furnished, we can definitely send someone from our side to go and take the measurements on-site. We do that free of cost, once we have received an advance amount from your side.

Alternatively, we charge you for return airfare ex-Chandigarh or ex-Mumbai (for > 250 km travel), local travel & fooding amount for one individual for one day.

 

  1. I need some of my furniture like Wardrobe to be fixed with wall? Will you do that for us?

In case you are getting flat / villa furnished from us, we will do onsite installation of all items. In case of single or few items purchase, you will have to get installation done locally. We reserve the right to offer installation on case to case basis.

 

  1. Do you have any more designs than ones shown on your website?

Yes, we have many more designs. Unfortunately, we do not have soft copies of those goods. Those designs are available with us in hard copy catalogue formats. In any case, you can google / pinterest the design of your liking; we can make the same for you as long as it is in wood or metal.

 

  1. I am looking for classical theme for my Mumbai flat. Can you do interior designing for the same (Here are some images for your reference)? How much do you charge per sq feet for turnkey project?

Yes, we can do classical / modern theme anywhere. In case of turn-key project, we can also do full interior designing along with execution anywhere across India. Our rates start from Rs 5000 per sq feet onwards. This will include flooring, ceiling, furniture, lighting, plumbing, bathrooms, kitchen, decor, furnishings etc of reputed brands. (Our standard package does not include electronic and electrical items)

 

  1. Will you provide 3-D drawing for my Flat/Villa/ Bungalow? How much do you charge?

We can provide 3-D drawing for your premises, once we received floor plan from your side. We charge Rs 35000/- per room for doing the same.

 

  1. Where does your manufacturing take place?

We have a mix of our own manufacturing and external sourcing. Our own manufacturing is based at Patiala. Other than that, we source our products from our contractual vendors based at North India. Our sourcing team make sure that these products meet our Manufacturing quality and finish criterion.

 

  1. Where does the dispatch take from?

We have central dispatch facility at Patiala and U.P. All goods are brought to Delhi or U.P. , packaged and despatched to all India and overseas locations.

 

  1. Can we see your products to understand their quality and finish?

You are welcome to visit us at any of our facility to do that.

 

  1. Will I get to inspect goods before I take delivery of goods?

If you are buying multiple items for us, we will prefer you to visit and inspect the goods at our location. This allows you to point out any unlikely discrepancy / dissatisfaction with goods, and if required, we can work on it our factory immediately.

 

  1. How much time will it take to deliver goods in USA, Australia, UK, Canada and Middle-East after advance payment is made?

Our Manufacturing lead time depends upon the complexity of product you choose. In general it is between 30-60 days.

  1. Why should we pay you 50% upfront? How can I trust you with my payment?

We customize furniture to meet your specific requirement of dimensions, fabric, colour etc. We charge 50% upfront to protect our interest, and the fact that once we have accepted your payment, we are legally bound to deliver committed product.

You have as much reason to trust us as you do with your neighbourhood store. We are professionally managed company. We are also certified exporter. You can view our company and promoters credentials by clicking about us in footer.

 

  1. How do we do fabric / leatherette selection? Can you send swatches of fabric / leatherette?

We use fabric / leatherette priced upto Rs 750 per sq meter wholesale pricing. We prefer our customers to purchase fabric / leatherette in local market and send it us. If that is not possible, we expect you to indicate your preferred colour for the same. We will send you the choices available in market via Whatsapp.

 

  1. What extent of customisation is possible in your furniture?

We can customise furniture as per your requirement. Full customisation is a probability for all items at incremental pricing.

 

  1. Can your carpentry team work on my premises, so that I know what is getting built?

Once you have contracted your work to us, we discuss entire detail with you thoroughly and then provide you with relevant drawings. Our team manufactures the same in our factory premises, and transport the same to your premises. Our installation team will come and stay at your premises for installation. Sorry, we do not manufacture goods on premises.

 

  1. I don’t want any people on my premises; can you manufacture all outside and only do an installation here?

Yes, we prefer that way only. Only installation is done by team at your premises.

 

  1. Most of your website images are from other sites. We need to see real live images of your furniture. Can you send the same to us?

  1. We need furniture on an emergency basis to gift at our ward’s marriage, Can you do that?

We can choose to work on emergency basis. However, the express pricing will be levied for the same.

 

  1. We get at a really nice turkish furniture our here. Can’t imagine anyone can match that in India, do you claim to do that.

We do not claim to match anyone. What we do claim is that you will get goods made in genuine teak wood, crafted in best way, and finished to the perfection. It will be Indian; you may choose to call that Turkish or Italian.

 

  1. Can you provide us some customer reference for verifying your claims?

Sorry, we do not provide any customer references. Our customers value our discretion. For using their names in our testimonial or organisation reference, we take prior written permission from them.

 

  1. Do you also make Modern / Contemporary furniture?

We can make any wooden or metal furniture irrespective of their design and genre.
